No play by play announcers. Just camera footage from the press box. Desmond Howard scores his first ever touchdown as a Wolverine (4:09). The star of the game was Tony Boles with 2 rushing TD's, an 85 yard kickoff return for a TD, and 40 receiving yards. Michael Taylor leaves the game just before the half with an ankle injury and Elvis Grbac finishes the game. Leroy Hoard also scores.
It was an ugly 4th quarter with Purdue scoring 3 touchdowns thanks to 2 blocked punts and a fumble recovery. You couldn't pick up a fumble in those days.
The true highlight of this game, Bo rips an official to threads at 21:26 after we were flagged during Purdue's onside kick attempt. The Boliers got another shot and recovered the second onside kick. But the late Vada Murray, who had been burned for 2 TD's earlier in the quarter ends the game with a pick.
