The Yamaha YZ250 2 stroke platform has been around for quite some time without significant changes. That doesn't mean this isn't a great bike because it is. It really shows how far ahead of its time it was when it saw the last big change in 2006. While the Austrian brands continue to develop their bikes the Yamaha may become less competitive for a future star of the sport, but the overall fun factor will remain the same. Plus suspension, strong engine, and an overall comfortable bike makes the YZ250 a great buy for a wide range of riders.
