Alright guys, can you build big arms with light weights? I have another cool technique to help you build muscle, and all you need is a set of light dumbbells. You do not need heavy weights or a gym to be able to get bigger arms. The technique we are going to be using in this workout to build bigger arms with light weights is GIANT SETS. Giant sets are 4 or more exercises back to back without any rest in between. We are also going to alternate between bicep and tricep exercises in this workout to build bigger arms with light weights. We are going to do 6 total exercises in this GIANT SET. Let’s get started with the exercises in this workout to build bigger arms with light weights.
At the end of the GIANT SET, you want to rest for about 90 seconds then you are going to do 3 more rounds. This type of workout is going to increase the intensity and time under tension, which will help you build bigger arms even though you are using lighter weights. You are going to do 10 really good reps of each exercise in this arm workout.
Exercise #1: INCLINE SKULLCRUSHERS. Have the dumbbells behind your head on an angle, so that your triceps will always be under tension even at the top of the movement. Make sure to get a full stretch at the bottom of the movement, and a good stretch at the top of the movement.
Exercise #2: SPIDER CURLS. Use an incline bench, and keep your elbows out in front of you. Hold the contraction at the top of the movement to add more intensity and time under tension.
Exercise #3: CLOSE-GRIP PUSHUPS. Make sure to keep your elbows tucked in to your sides, even squeeze them in as you are pushing up to focus on the triceps more than the chest.
Exercise #4: INCLINE BICEP CURLS. Keep your elbows back in this movement, and try not to swing your arms because the momentum will take away the work from your biceps. You can even turn the dumbbell outward at the top of the movement to really get a good pump in your biceps.
Exercise #5: TRICEP DUMBBELL KICKBACK. Keep your elbows up, and contract at the top of the movement. Hold the contraction, and flex your biceps at the bottom of the movement to get a good stretch.
Exercise #6: HAMMER CURLS. Focus on keeping your elbows in the same spot, and avoid swinging the dumbbells. You are really going to be feeling the lactic acid after the 4th exercise, so get ready for 2 more rounds.
