The crowd erupt as England take the final Australian wicket to win the first match of the 2013 five match series. This will go down in cricket history as one of the best test matches of all time. The game fluctuated both ways over the first four days building to a climax at lunchtime on the fifth day. The players went to lunch with Australia needing just 20 runs to win and England just one wicket to win. The odds were on Australia because the last wicket pair, Brad Haddin and James Pattinson had scored 60 in their unbroken last wicket partnership. They, however, added only another five runs before James Anderson took the wicket of Brad Haddin (caught by wicketkeeper Matthew Prior for 71) to clinch victory for England by 14 runs. I stated in my commentery that Jimmy Anderson had taken four wickets, in fact he took five wickets in the second innings to add to the five he took in the first innings giving him the Man of the Match award. Singer Sean Ruane who lifted spectators and the team with his performance of "You Raise Me Up", Rule Brittania" and Land of Hope and Glory", told me that he went to the same school as Jimmy Anderson. This was St Theodore's RC High School in Burnley so two Lancashire men made a great contribution to the thrilling final session. Filmed and loaded to YouTube by Michael Parkinson
