World Snow Day was celebrated by thousands of people around the world on Sunday January 20th 2013. Here in Wengen we joined forces with some of the French ski team for an action packed snowball fight and with a group of local kids from Wengen who helped celebrate World Snow Day in the slalom finish area.
Wengen is arguably one of the most famous ski races in the World. The Lauberhorn course has it all, it's long, fast, filled with tricky och spectacular turns, you have the Hundshopf cliff, the challenging Minch kante, the foamous Alpweg with Kernen S in the middle of it, the outrageously fast Hannegsschuss and last but not least the very difficult finish S. There are normally 30-35 000 spectators along the most beautiful Downhill course of the world. This is simply the best there is in in this sport and in Switzerland, it has the same status as the Super bowl in the USA.
