US President Joe Biden mumbles once again during a state dinner at the White House in honour of Japan’s prime minister.
Biden hosted the dinner celebrating the arrival of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Wednesday night.
Over 200 guests were invited to the event, including Bill and Hillary Clinton and actor Robert De Niro, who were seated at the head table.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Apple CEO Tim Cook were also seated at tables nearby at the star-studded event.
To mark the special event, the oldest-ever sitting US president attempted to say a toast but seemingly struggled to read from his cue cards.
In Biden’s toast, he spoke about the growing relationship between the United States and Japan.
“We both remember the choices that were made to forge a friendship. We both remember the hard work, what it has done to find healing,” he said.
