The Supported Side Splits
One of the cruel features of some ways of training flexibility positions is that you never get a chance to fully relax in the position until you have achieved the full pose.
But fear not, we have the solution!
In this video Emmet (@emmetlouis) directs M3 Coach Nick (@flowyflounceyfellow) in this incredibly helpful progressive exercise for the middle splits.
While you are waiting for your body to be able to display enough range to sit on the floor, we are going to bring the floor UP to you with the use of supports.
This setup could be used for isometric splits, particularly in the case that your passive split is far beyond what you can lower into from standing.
