Here is the final video in the Ruger Mark III detail strip and reassembly series. In this video I show the reassembly of the hammer and sear groups after a complete disassembly for detail cleaning. The trickiest part is the final placement of the hammer group, it can take a few tries to get it in correctly. Kudos again to the guntalk-online.com instructions for allowing me to get my Mark III back together. Once you finish your reassembly, make sure that the long arm of sear spring is trapped behind the sear spring stop pin, but that the black strut coming off the hammer is not. Also, you should be able to see the long arm of the disconnect spring from the back view as well. So, from left to right, it should be sear spring (trapped behind pin), hammer strut (not trapped), then disconnect spring, when the pistol is pointed away from you and you are looking into the slot where the mainspring will go into. I hope this video is helpful to anyone in need.
