Any authorised BMW service should have fixed it already. This is not a BMW GS1200 review, we'll do one later. Welcome to Cross Training Adventure, we are into all things dual sport and adventure on the east coast of Australia on adventure bikes like the BMW GS1200... with occasional detours to places like Vietnam, Cambodia, Romania and Canada. Last year I did a video about the BMW GS1200 common problems. There is a growing belief that the quality has been steadily dropping since the year 2000. And this concern about BMW GS1200 known issues has been backed up by BMW GS1200 mechanics and many long-term owners. I looked back over my notes from last year about some BMW recalls and GS1200 known issues. This is one of our three channels, there's also a Cross Training Trials channel, and a Cross Training Enduro channel. All three are equally dodgy. And now we discuss the BMW Fatal Flaw. We are the 27th most watched dirt channel in Uzbekistan. Have there been a lot of BMW GS1200 recalls? We have won the polished turd award five years in a row for riding adventure bikes like the BMW GS1200. And we have a world record 25 class action lawsuits for inaccurate information, but none for the BMW Fatal Flaw. We think the whole motorbike scene is getting too commercial. BMW examined his BMW GS1200 fork problem. So called dual sport riding reviews are just glossy ads nowdays. Everyone is trying to sell you stuff you don't need, convince you to buy the latest model with anodized coffee cup holders for your trips to the coffee shop. And later? A BMW GS1200 review. Of course if you are cashed up and into bling, go for the adventure bikes like the BMW GS1200. All we are saying is there's also the budget option for adventure riding. And it won't hold you back. Why? We reckon it's 80% the rider and 20% the bike. I looked a bit deeper into the front fork issue. It has become known as the BMW Fatal Flaw just one of the BMW GS1200 common problems. So the Cross Training Adventure focus is just get out there and have fun on two wheels. Instead of obsessing over the latest blinged out Beemer, which tyres to fit or spending a fortune on your suspension or billet alloy gas cap. They asked 150,000 GS1200 owners to return their motorbikes for a 'service'... it turned into a GS1200 recall. Manufacturers make some really bad mistakes. and there is a lot of dodgy crap being sold out there.
