At least four people have been killed and thousands evacuated after Germany was struck by heavy rain, causing dangerous flooding.
Frightening footage has captured the moment water burst through a barrier in Stuttgart, causing a busy highway to become submerged. A train has also reportedly been derailed due to the conditions.
One of those killed includes a firefighter who reportedly died in the line of duty whilst trying to rescue trapped citizens on Sunday.
"We cannot neglect the task of halting man-made climate change," German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in relation to the flooding.
A state of emergency has been declared across multiple towns.
