Gareth Southgate has condemned former FA chairman Greg Clarke after the 63-year-old referred to black players as 'coloured' and suggested 'different career interests' led South Asian people to choose careers in IT over sport. The England manager said the remarks were 'not acceptable' adding 'I don’t think he had any alternative but to take the decision he did to resign'.
