Fusing a classic strongman lift and a scorching bodyweight hold, ‘The Upside Down’ is a hybrid workout finisher that builds shoulder stability, increases your grip and core strength, all whilst ramping up your athletic capacity.
All you need to do is grab a heavy set of farmers handles, kettlebells or dumbbells and work your way through this EMOM-
Every minute on the minute, alternating movements:
Even minutes- Maximum handstand hold
Odd minutes- 30m farmers carry
Perform five rounds, for a total of ten minutes.
If you drop at any point during the handstand holds, kick back up as soon as you can, aiming to accumulate as much time inverted as possible.
Try and shoot for half of your bodyweight in each hand for the farmers, but don’t be shy if you can go heavier. Who’s got this unbroken?
