Having served in the US Army and with over 13 years in law enforcement, including time on Special Response Teams, I know this style of programming works. I've excelled using it, running sub-6 minute miles at 240lbs and always being at the front of the pack.
Many tactical programs out there look more like bodybuilding programs. You might end up looking good, but you'll be a 4 cylinder engine pretending to be a V8 Hemi. And it won't take long for those weaknesses to be exposed.
