Ben Nordberg has been an Am on Flip skateboards for almost as long as we can recall. He’s worked with Burberry, and noted that one of his favourite gigs was with H & M. Modelling seems to fit pretty well into Nordbergs lifestyle and career in skateboarding, and if skateboarding never works out, he’ll always have that pretty face to rely on.
Living in Oceanside California, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk has appeared on the Simpsons, and has popped up in magazines like GQ repping high fashion brands with his son Riley Hawk.
Leticia Bufoni grew up in São Paulo Brazil, moving to California at age 14. Later she gets on Nike SB, as well as a large list of sponsors including GoPro and RedBull. Later, she ends up turning pro for Plan B Skateboards, and has been a huge part of Street League as it’s grown. One her most interesting commercials was for Secret deodorant, where you can see her skating a rail in heels…
What about Evan Mock? With a bright pink hairdo, Mock took the fashion industry by storm in 2019, making waves as a model and influencer, extending out of his roots in the skateboarding world. Mock has photographed a star-studded Saint Laurent photo diary for V Magazine, walked for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2020 runway, toured the world with Travis Scott, and has even worked with celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, and Justin Beiber on his Drew line.
Alex Olson grew up in Santa Monica/Malibu CA, pursuing skateboarding in the footsteps of his dad Steve Olson. Over the years he ended up getting flowed by Black Label, Toy Machine, Foundation, while also getting on Lakai & Girl Skateboards for a time, before moving on to Nike. Later he moves to New York, starting his own companies Bianca Chandôn & 917.
Steve Olson turned pro at age 16 for Santa Cruz, winning Skateboarder Magazine's skater of the year way back when, and even played a Dagger in the movie Thrashin'.
Both Alex and Steve have since been a part of campaigns for brands like Mango, and Alex has modelled for Louis Vuitton.
Palace skater Blondey McCoy. The 21-year-old skater has skated for Palace since the age of 14, but and has been a part of his fair share of freak taxi cab collisions. Blondey has gone on to start his personal brand Thames, “Us and Chem” and work with Burberry campaigns. He’s even walked the runway for Louis Vuitton. Now, you can find Blondey modelling for Kate Moss and her modelling agency – one of the biggest in the world.
Lucien Clarke is yet another Palace prop who’s broken into the high fashion limelight. He ends up modelling for brands such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton, before being asked by Virgil Ablo to be the first skateboarder to ride for Louis Vuitton. His first skateboard shoe with the brand cost a whopping $1,190. Do you think skaters would buy it?
It’s also crazy to consider that there’s even a Louis Vuitton X Supreme skateboard kicking around in the world somewhere…
And our #1 pick is Dylan Rieder. Over the years, Dylan filmed for Gravis footwear, rode for Alien Workshop and Analog, and later rode on Huf Footwear and FA. Dylan also had some stand out tricks in the Supreme Video “Cherry.” At one point, Dylan modelled for DKNY, standing beside A$AP Rockey, Fergie, and Kara Delevine.
