Remember, the right rope length requires some trial and error. Also, maintaining your mast management and ensuring your foil's wings don't come out of the water is critical for stability.

Once your rope length is correct and your mast management is under control, you're ready to surf. Spotting a bend in your rope indicates that you're successfully surfing, meaning the foil is generating enough speed from the wave, matching the speed of the boat. To stay in the "sweet spot" of the wave where the rope is not pulling you, adjusting the boat's speed and your positioning on the wake can be effective. If you're going faster than the wake, increase the boat speed; if you're falling off the wave, slow the boat down. Additionally, adjusting your position on the wave can also help in maintaining the right speed. As you progress, you can also pump or carve to stay in the sweet spot.
