This brief video shows how to snap RocketSlug onto your line and throw it to dislodge the snagged lure when the snag is above water.
Before taking your RocketSlug on that special fishing trip, practice throwing RocketSlug to get used to the weight, the feel, and the force you need to throw RocketSlug with. This will make your fishing trip snags as painless as possible!
Here’s How To use RocketSlug:
1. Snap RocketSlug onto your snagged line.
2. Pinch the two tabs on the sides of RocketSlug to separate the halves.
3. Lay the bottom half on your snagged fishing line in the central channel of RocketSlug and snap the other half together. It should snap hard!
4. Attach the bright orange tether onto the tail of RocketSlug, there's a small attachment hoop on the bottom of the tail.
5. Unspool the bright orange tether line and tie a small loop in the end of the tether on the opposite end as the swivel clasp.
6. Then make a self-tightening loop on that end of the tether like we did when we were kids with a yo-yo.
7. Wrap the yo-yo loop around the wrist you hold your snagged fishing line with.
8. Wrap the snagged fishing line around your hand 3-4x and pull semi-tight.
9. Hold the fishing line straight above your head with tension. The tension creates the return spring action when the lure dislodges.
10. Then throw RocketSlug down your line to hit your snagged lure and dislodge the hook barbs.
Note: If RocketSlug does not dislodge your snagged lure on the first throw, use the tether to retrieve the unit and throw again.
